Octavia RS model will be officially presented July 2013. The world premiere of this model will take place at the Goodwood speed festival that originally opens its doors in summer. While we wait for the premiere we already have a great amount of information about the technical characteristics of this car. For example, it is rumored that Skoda Octavia RS liftback can get the optional all-wheel drive.
The Skoda Company has made an official statement that the visitors of the Goodwood festival of speed will be able to see a sport modification of new Octavia. It is still unknown if the wagon version will be shown as well, but there’s no chance Skoda managers would miss such an opportunity.
The new picture of the car that was recently posted on the Internet leaves no other doubts: the electric version of Octavia will resemble base modification but will have a modified front bumper with powerful LED flashlights instead of fog lights and will have black trims at the bottoms of the doors as well as redesigned wings and wheel rims. The back of the new Skoda Octavia RS will be decorated with two chrome tailpipes.
The appearance of the electric Octavia has not been a secret for a long time. The Internet has already been filled with render versions as well as high-quality pictures of the model without camouflage. And when you thought there is nothing more to see, the new pictures appear. What if there is still so much to be shown that the first pictures were just a way to distract people from the finished look of Skoda Octavia RS? As an answer to this question, Czech auto manufacturers have posted a teaser that invites every car fan to visit the Goodwood festival of speed where the world premiere of Octavia RS will officially take place.
The technical characteristics will be based on Volkswagen Golf GTI and GTD hatchbacks. There’s also a rumor that Octavia RS will also be equipped with all-wheel drive supplemented with Haldex coupling of the latest generation. Well, that would be really great, as far as other characteristics match this one.
