If you remember the magnificently gorgeous concept car then you should be happy that it is going for production. Yes, Maserati has made it official that this breathtaking Alfieri concept we saw last year will be going in to the assembly line.
After a long period of speculation about the outcome of the concept car, which has been primed to take on the Jaguar F-Type, the automaker confirmed that it will feature along with the Maserati SUV on the road within a short period in future.
The production car of the Alfieri can be expected to come out somewhere during 2016 to 2017. The vehicle is likely to feature either a V6 or V8 turbos which would be feeding power to the rear wheels as we have witnessed in Ghibli. You probably know all this because you might have read details wrote by Paul Horrel of TopGear last summer. The scoop can be read at the website.
Honestly this is great news delivered appropriately at the time of the centennial celebration of Maserati. Harald Wester the Maser CEO explained that this is the year of Alfieri and a car meant to commemorate the centennial bearing the name of the founder. He further said that this year would be the time where fans and customers would celebrate the magnificent past of Maserati and experience and enjoy the present with the range of it s products which has expanded tremendously. The automaker is awaiting the release of the eagerly awaited Maserati SUV which would be followed by the Alfieri concept car which is scheduled for production.
If anyone from Maserati is listening then we would be delighted if the production of both vehicles can be swapped priorities thus building the Alfieri before the SUV. This we hope everyone concerned will agree with.
